Grace 24 Opportunities
Shoreline Church supports 'Grace 24 Opportunities' based in Kenya. The project is run by Jesca Nyongesa.
Grace 24 was founded by Zoe Stares and Jesca Nyongesa in March 2009 and helps to provide local children and families through education, counselling, agriculture and small business.
The Centre is based in Malava, near Kakamega in Western Kenya. Termites and bad weather made the original mud house uninhabitable. Grace 24 began building a permanent brick house in April 2017 - funded by monthly sponsorship from the UK and supported by Shoreline Church. Sadly the project has encountered some major difficulties with Jescah's husband leaving her for another lady. He has also used much of the recent funding for his own personal gain to the neglect of the project and his own family. We are dealing with this. Fortunately we now have Claire Mukala and her Kenyan husband, Kennedy living nearby to closely monitor the support and input we are providing. Claire and Kennedy are making regular trips to see Jescah and are giving us up to date and accurate information to enable us to plan a way forward. This is a very difficult time for Jescah as she is supporting her own children and others as well as the work of Grace 24. Please pray for her and this project at this time.
There is a flexible ethos of helping the most vulnerable and poor as the need arises. A big thank you to all of you who are supporting this ministry through your generous giving and prayer. Your support means everything to us and without this we could not carry on with this project.
The Grace 24 website is currently offline whilst we reassess how we support the project.
This part of the website is still under construction. Check back for updates very soon.
